A collection inspired by the Taíno Culture. The Taínos dominated the Dominican Republic, Cuba, the Bahamas and other Caribbean Islands from about 1200 to the arrival of Christopher Columbus in 1492.  Anacaona was the name of my muse, a courageous Taíno princess and a well-known artist whose life story I heard time and time again as a child. This collection is a modern representation of the fusion between the essential garments of the Taíno Indians and the traditional style of Spanish culture.  With clean lines, slim silhouettes and classic neutral colors such as Gold, Brown, White and Cream, these garments can be worn from day to night and from summer to fall.
